[00:00:00] Speaker A: It is so important that we remain in the Word and in the truth and in the spirit of God, all things. It is not done by might nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord. [00:00:21] Speaker B: Welcome to the well, an Elam Fellowship Leadership podcast. My name is Leah and I'm the social media and marketing coordinator here at Elam Fellowship. And each episode will draw from the heart of our leadership community and dive into messages that refresh, challenge and equip you in your walk with Christ. In this special series, we're bringing you teachings from our prophetic ministry conference held this past August. These sessions are full of wisdom, encouragement and practical insight to help strengthen you as a leader and as a prophetic voice in your environment. Today's message is part one of a two part session featuring our speaker, Christy Campbel. So let's jump in together and hear what God is speaking to us. [00:00:58] Speaker C: It's my privilege to introduce our next speaker, Christy Camp. She's an ordained minister, teacher, speaker, and the founding director of David's Kids International, a nonprofit child sponsorship and community aid program bringing the message of God's love in practical ways. For over 25 years, she's ministered prophetically here and abroad. She has a passion to see God's love release, new purpose and destiny to the family of God. On a personal note, Christy and her husband were my youth pastors way back in the day. And you know, like, if someone can love you when you're a stinky teenager and they still love you and respect you after that, you know that there's something really special there. Christie was at my ordination. She gave me a very impactful prophetic word at my ordination. Never forget it for the rest of my life. And it's just I'm expecting great things today. Would you welcome her as she comes up? [00:01:58] Speaker A: Thank you, Doug. It brings back memories. A blast from the past as I say. Wow, it has been rich already here. I could just already just go home because I've already received so much already myself. And I want to just thank Phil and Cheryl in this beautiful church and Elam for the opportunity and coming together as the people of God. It's such a blessing to come into the house of the Lord and feel and sense and see the presence of the living God. We truly live in such a beautiful time, an amazing time, a great time. We were born for such a time as this, each and every one of us. We are not an accident. If you're sitting here and the enemy's been lying to you that you weren't wanted and that you are an accident. And that life is just going to happen to you. I'm telling you that that is a lie from the pit of hell. Because God has a plan for you. God has good for you. His hand is good in the land of the living. And I can testify to that personally. In a season when my husband and I walked through the death of our son David 15 years ago on Father's Day, some of you were there with us. And yet God walked with us in that dark time, in that time where we felt so alone, where we felt even abandoned, where we had our faith shaken. Shaken to the very core. And you know what? When God is shaking you, it's because something's got to come off. Maybe there's a shaking happening in your life right now, but there's something that needs to shake off and come off and shake loose. Because God wants to do a new work. He wants to flow in you in a new way. And maybe that shaking is going to unstop some clogging that's going on. So I'm just going to tell you something that I have been doing. I thought I would get my lymphatic system going. How many of you know what your lymphatic system is? Okay. Right. It is like the second cardiovascular. So your heart pumps, you know, and gets your blood going through your lymphatic system is all through your body. And the lymph glands are there, and they're supposed to get rid of the toxins. But your lymph glands don't have. Your lymphatic system doesn't have a heart to pump it. So you gotta do it. Come on now. You gotta do the work to get it going. And so you gotta move those muscles. And maybe it's going to be running, jogging. Well, I got a trampoline and one of those, you know, you hold onto the bar and I'm bouncing and bouncing like this, right? And I tried that for a while, and it did get my heart really going. I don't know if I got my lymphatic system moving anymore, you know, but it was worth the try anyways until I realized that I put my back out doing all that bouncing and. And that was like, I guess that's not going to happen anymore, is it, God? And he said, no, but the shaking is good because it's loosening things up in there. And I want to flow through you. And I thought, wow, that's what God is doing here. You're here because God is working on the muscle of Your spirit, and it's going to begin to flow in a new, fresh way. And in an anointed way, God wants to move through you and he wants to cleanse some out of you. Get rid of those toxic thoughts, get rid of those toxic feelings and let them move in and through you with a new strength. So I ditched, I gave it to my daughter. She says, sarah, I ditched the little mini trampoline. Guess what? I did okay, so I could afford it because I just finished teaching kindergarten, kindergarten teacher. I retired in June 25. And I got one of those. They're pads you stand on and they vibrate like this. And so it just. And you're supposed to be able to do this while it's doing it and it's shaking me off from it. But it does. It's supposed to get the lymphatic system going because apparently, according to my wellness doctor, my lymphatic system doesn't like to work very well, you know, and I'm not. I can't do running anymore very, very well because I just have some issues. I can't do the running. Okay, enough said. And so the lymph, that little vibration pad you stand on and you can get down and do push ups on it. Well, I haven't gotten, I haven't graduated to that yet because these muscles right here need to be worked on. So anyways, God is working on me in the physical, but he's working on me in the natural, in the, in the spiritual as well. And that's what he's doing here. That was all free. That is not what I'm going to share, but. Oh, we'll go back to that. So God, he showed us the goodness of his hand in the land of the living. And that was the very scripture, Psalm 27, verses 13 and 14, where I landed on and lived in for all of these years, trusting and knowing that even if I didn't have the answers to the whys of what happened or what happened to me, I have the answer, Jesus Christ. And I could land on that and I could walk through in this place knowing that the goodness of the Lord is being shown here in the land of the living. And he began to speak to me and he began to share with me by his precious spirit about having a thankful heart and a spirit of gratitude for what I did have, not what I didn't have anymore. And I wanted to have. And I had to let go of that. And that was a couple, two, three years into that, but I had to let go of those things that I longed for, that I couldn't have any longer. My son couldn't return back. I couldn't have life like it used to be and how I thought it was, should be. But I did have a beautiful family, a wonderful church, a husband that loved me. I have grandchildren. At the time there was 10 of them. Now I have 18. Nice, huh? Nine grandsons and nine granddaughters. We got ourselves a basketball team, I think a baseball team a little bit, you know, we've got a lot there, but we're very blessed. They're 26, down to 6 years old. Our granddaughter's getting married, the 26 year old this coming Saturday on the 9th. And our grandson was married last year. His, his, her brother and going to be great grandparents. Come on. That's the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. It is generational and God is doing generational things in our lives. And so there are other wonderful things. Doug made reference to David's Kids International. God began to speak in my heart. How did I know that we're going to venture into that, we're going to look into that. How do we know it's the voice of God? How can we discern the voice of God and how do we get there? And many of you have heard this, most of you have preached it a lot better than I'm going to speak it or share it. So bear with me. But I'll just bring it through from some of the experiences that I have had in the Lord. And so I found myself as I was preparing for coming here when Pastor Phil had asked and it's been a couple of months. I've had a lot of things going on in my life besides preparing to retire, get the room cleaned out, get ready for another teacher. A lot of state things to have to deal with, curriculum mapping for you that are teachers. You understand what I'm talking about? What's required to do that for the state? State. And so there was a lot of things preparing for my family to come. And so I found that I was very disorganized, disquieted in my spirit. And I was beginning to feel a lot of confusion in regards to what God wanted to share because I was so distracted by so many things in my life and currently perhaps some of you are there even now. There are a lot of things going on in your life that can pull you from here to there and keep you in the place of not being able to just hear clearly or have that time to hear from the Lord. Are you discouraged? Are you disquieted? Is there a place where you have been downcast? Is your mind cluttered and noisy with all that is going on in life? And whose voice is it that is speaking to you right now? Whose voice is speaking into you right now? Whose voice is influencing you right now? Is it your family? Well, you should be doing more of this. Why don't we take another vacation? That's okay. We can have another. These are your friends. Well, you don't need to give so much of your time to that church. You're just doing too much already anyways. You need to take a break. Take another one. You know, it's tough out there. Is it your own internal voice? Is it the voices from the past? Things that were said to you? A teacher while you were growing up? A parent? A friend? Whose voice is speaking to you? Is the enemy pushing repeat, repeat, repeat, reminding you of your past? Whose voice is speaking to you? How about Facebook? How about Twitter? Whose voice is speaking to you? How about these 5 second reels? Come on now, who's gotten lost in the five second reel land? Like it's only five seconds, right? But like five seconds, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50. All of a sudden you've got a minute and then you realize you got sucked into not just that real, but then there was this ad attached to it or another thing attached to it. And pretty soon you've got an hour gone in the real land. Not here in the real land, but in the real land out there. Whose voice is influencing you? Does that sound like something that's going on right now? Can we see it in the world? There is a warning out there for the body of Christ and the people of God. There is a warning coming from the spirit of God. And I heard it. I heard it in my spirit. It's so easy to pick up our phone now. I'm not knocking it because there's a lot of information. You can get good information and you can do great Google searches, right? You can find a lot of stuff that you need. But it's so easy to go to that than going to the Lord to find what you need. How about this? Think about AI I was teaching it first came out and they got us linked up to it as teachers so that we could produce curriculum and a whole assignment and teaching with all of the graphics, with all of the. Okay, so I had fun one time. So I wanted to teach the, the children about Thanksgiving, but I wanted to do it in a new way. And I needed to bring the Lord into that and teach about being thankful with a thankful heart. So I just said, I spoke into it what I wanted and wasn't. Maybe 30 seconds later, all of it comes up beautiful posters. And that gave me the choice to change the color. It came up with the whole lesson. It gave the little. I said, how about a poem? It put it into a poem. It added a poem. Then I said, I'd like to put this poem to music to make it a song. And it created a song. Needless to say, I didn't use it, but I just wanted to try it. But it was so easy. It did all of the thinking for me. It produced everything that I thought I would need. It had. As I went through it, it had places where it was incorrect. Had I not looked at it closely, I could have been fed the wrong information. AI now is a big thing. And there is a race to produce artificial intelligence as a counselor and adviser for the world. So that you can personally have your own AI counselor. Phil, you can skip going to the Lord. You can go and they will advise you. They will lead you, guide you, help you decide what you should do with your life. And it's the race going on right now. It's real. And I felt strongly this morning this is what I was going to talk about. But part of it is, is there is a warning to the body of Christ and the people of God. Whose voice are we listening to and where are we getting our information from? And it's going to be real easy to do it the easy way. And to slip into that place, to push that button or that link and come up with someone that understands me. They understand me. So it feels good and it's right. Think about it. That's going to eliminate going to God. There's a warning out there. Who are we listening to? The AI and the Holy Spirit said to me to this morning. Or the all intelligent one, not artificial intelligent, but the all intelligent one. We have the all intelligent one. And so we must guard our heart and guard our eyes and guard our spirit and guard our soul from this artificial intelligent one that is infiltrating and trying to penetrate and will steal the minds and the hearts of the people of God. It is so important that we remain in the Word and in the truth and in the spirit of God. All things. It is not done by might nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord. There's an understanding that many voices can speak into us. Now, I'm not saying because the God's word says, there is wise counsel in the voice of many elders as we come into them. We can seek voices, we can seek others, we can look for that. But whose should we go to first? The Lord. Write to the Lord. The two. The key is now. So this will be the key. The key to hearing is to tune out the wrong voices. That's the key. Do you hear the voice of the Lord? Tune out the wrong voices. Lay the phone down. Close the computer up. Tune them out. Get away from the friends. They're great. Have your friend times your parties. I don't know. Get away. Get away with the Lord. Come away with me and sup with me. Find your strength and your voice with the Lord. So the key is to tune out the world and then tune into the voice of the Lord. Proverbs 16:9 says, A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps. So AI is a plan of man, and that is what's going to direct your step. My steps? No way. It is the Lord who directs his steps. God will lead if we will let him. And the way to find out where he's leading is. And here it is. And Peter, you hit on it a couple times, and you did here, right? We all know the way to find where we're going is to spend time with the Lord. It comes down to not being so busy and so distracted that we have no time to spend time. If you're too busy, Phil, you're too busy. There you go. If you're too busy, you're too busy. My dad always said that he's a smart man, he's got the wisdom of the Lord, and so take that time. God's words are meant to be transformative in his, in our lives. So when we go back to the book of Luke, chapter 10, verse 38 through 42. I love this story because I'm just going to hit on this, land on this a little bit, and then we'll just come back around. As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary who sat at the Lord's feet listening to the Lord's word. But Martha was distracted. With all the preparations that had to be made, Christy was distracted. She came to him and asked, lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me. Martha. Martha. The Lord answered, you're worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed or indeed Only one Mary has chosen what is better and it will not be taken from her. Amen. Can I get an amen? When you spend time with the Lord, it's not going to be taken away from you. It's not a waste. It is an added value. It is multiplied exponentially and poured back into your life. It will not be taken away away from you. And so perhaps you're like me. Well, I'm just going to say it. I live a Martha life. I want to be a Mary, but I live a Martha life. I try to be a Mary, but I actually, a lot of times I'm in the Martha place here. So much to do, so much to prepare for, so much to get done, right, Cheryl? There's a lot in the house of the Lord and everywhere. So Martha was distracted. Distracted. And that literal meaning of the Greek word is much stronger, which means to drag around in circles. To drag around in circles. How many of you find yourself going from one thing, starting it to another? Oh, and then it brings you over here. And then you said, wait, I gotta finish this and I'm back here. And then, oh, and how many find themselves being dragged around in circles? That's the meaning of that word, to drag around in circles, to be frustrated, to be frustrated in all of those things. Martha was distracted. So today you're here, you've decided to come away like Mary and let's spend some time. We took it, placed it aside and said, this is for you, Lord. We came out of the routine, the busyness of life, and we said, we're coming here to hear from you, Lord. Have you heard from the Lord? Are you hearing from the Lord? He is here and he is speaking. So then when we look at Mary, she was sitting at his feet, right at his knees, and it said right there that she was listening to Jesus speak the word. And the listening is listening with the ear of your mind. Not just going in one ear and out the other, but literally listening with the ear of her mind. When the spirit of prophecy and the presence of the Lord is there, your ears are tuned in a new way. And it is not just hearing and hearing. It is hearing with the ear of your mind. You see Jesus when he comes into the room, when Jesus is exalted. When Jesus is there, you hear what with the ear of your mind? Because what he speaks is transformative. It changes you, it shifts paradigms, it gives you a new perspective. And Mary was sitting there to hear so effectively that she was going to perform what he was saying. And so when we hear with the ear of our mind, the spirit of prophecy and the word of prophecy. You are in that place where you are going to effectively hear and perform it. So if you're just listening with your ear, it's not going to happen. It's listening with your mind. It makes a connection. From here to the heart of Jesus. From here to the heart of Jesus. You thought I was going to say here, right? From here to the heart of Jesus. Yeah. Your spirit, he dwells in there 100%, 100% fully Christ Jesus in your spirit.
