[00:00:00] Speaker A: These things happen by the Holy Spirit. And so that Phil would be here and say, let's go back to prophecy. I say, amen. Let's go back to the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Amen. Let's go back to the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Let's go back to the gifts of the Spirit. Let's go back to worship in the Spirit. Let's go back to prayer in the Spirit. Because it's the Holy Spirit that gives the church the power and the ability to do these things. [00:00:36] Speaker B: Welcome to the well, an Elam Fellowship leadership podcast. I'm your host, Leah, social media and marketing coordinator here at Elam Fellowship. Each episode we draw from the heart of our leadership community and share messages that refresh, challenge and equip your walk with Christ. Today we're continuing with the conclusion of a powerful two part teaching from Robbie Evans at our prophetic ministry conference held this past August. If you missed part one, be sure to go back and listen. But for now, let's dive into the conclusion of this timely message. [00:01:05] Speaker A: And then he also said something that I thought was very interesting. He says, and I will give you favor in many nations. And we moved to Mexico in 79. And in 79 we moved to Mexico, went down to the coast to a place called Lazaro Cardas Michoacan, which is coastal. It's palm trees and mosquitoes and alligators and all sorts of stuff. And I remember that John and I went out too with his brother Tom. We went out to a little village as a fishing village and we preached for three nights and we got a big group of people there and we started a church. And so it's kind of like, okay, we got this going, who's gonna, who's gonna take it? So somehow I wound up with it, I guess because I was the newcomer. But anyway, I go out there and I'm the pastor and one night I'm preaching away and having a good time. Nobody could understand what I was saying because I just graduated from language school, but it was still fun, you know, so I'm preaching away. And after the meeting, two guys came up and they said, pastor, did you see what happened? I said, no, what happened? You didn't see that fisherman? No. He said, well, they would be. He was really drunk and he had a big knife and he was walking down the main aisle of the church and he was saying, we're going to find out if the brethren can be killed or no. So he was going to come down and see if he could Kill me or not. And I didn't have any idea he was coming. But those guys knew. So what do you think they did with him? They escorted him out into the coconut grove, basically thumped his melon, took his knife away from him and just left him there. But the thing is this. What God had said became true. And it's kind of like, okay, he keeps his word. Are you with me? And then he says that one of the other thing the guy said to me was, and I will give you favor in many nations. How many of you have prophetic words that were given to you a hundred years ago and you've forgotten them? I have lots of words. And sometimes they. They come back. In 92, John and I went to Spain. I'd never been to Spain before. And we flew into the airport in Madrid. Benito, not Benito Juarez. And we come into the airport in. In Benito Juarez, not Benito Juarez, that's Mexico City. But anyway, we fly in, we land. And I'm looking out the window at the terminal and thinking is that must be this terminal. And, oh, there's not many mountains around here. And just checking everything out. And then it's like we get off the plane. So I get down and I get to the door of the plane, the door of the plane, and I look out, and I have a pretty clear view now of Spain, what I'm seeing of it. And a word came to my heart, and I will give you favor in many nations. What's it telling me? You're right where you should be. The promise of God is, I will give you favor in many nations. And so we're going to start working on that. I've been to Spain 45 times and loved every. Every moment of it. And I would go back again because I like Spain. But I remember a few years later, I was over in Europe, and a friend of mine and I, he's from Mexico City, we were flying to preach. We're going to Switzerland, and we're coming down in Geneva. And his name's Ephraim. And he looks at me and says. He says, do you think God will bless us here? You think God will help us here? I said, I know he will. I know he will. How do you know? I says, because he spoke to me 15, 20 years ago, saying that I will give you favor in many nations. And. And this is one of those nations. And we went and God blessed us there. But you can fight the good fight. If I can use that term, you can fight the good fight. You can do these things. You can wage A good warfare. By the words that have come to you, am I making sense? The prophecies that have come to you. And so Paul's telling Timothy, says, timothy, I left you there. I want you to fight, I want you to contend. I want you to do that. Remember the prophecies that were given to you. Remember the gifts that were imparted to you. Remember those things and go after it. And I really think that that's important for us. I believe that there's nobody here. I don't believe there's anybody here in this room that God has not spoken to them. Because if he hasn't spoken, you're not in the kingdom because it's his invitation that brings you in. But how many people here in some time, in some moment, there was some place and there was a time of prayer and something was spoken, something was imparted. Somebody said, you're going to do this, you're going to have this, or whatever. And, you know, the Holy Spirit's serious when he says those things. And so I think people here that are here tonight, I really believe that we're in a room filled with very gifted people. You might not play the piano, and that's okay, but we're in a room of very gifted people. Because I believe that God has gifted his people with different gifts of the Spirit, with different anointings, whatever. And part of the whole thing of Christianity is, in my point of view, it's to identify what you have and then to turn it on fire, to get it going and then to use it. Does that make sense? I mean, why receive something and not use it? So God gives us these things and he wants us to light the fire and these things and to use them in what we're doing in the kingdom of God. So in thinking about this event here, I thought, yeah, prophecy is one of the gifts of the spirit. I think it's truly necessary that the gift of prophecy, the spirit of prophecy be. What's the word? Revived. Be stirred up, be. Be blown upon again. What does Paul says? He says something like, stir up the fire of the gift of God that's in you. The gift's there, but we need to stir the fire up. You follow me? It's like having a stove. Oh, no, fire. Well, let's put some in there. We'll make it warm again. And I think that's what happens with the gifts of the spirit. And I don't think we're too. Too old ever to receive a gift of the spirit. I do wonder sometimes about if we're too young. But that's just another. Another side of the coin. But the following is. I believe that God wants to do that. He saves you, he calls you, he anoints you, he gives you, he sends you, he does all these things. And I think if we're going to have a visitation of the Spirit of God in the nations in these next few years, we're definitely going to have a visitation of the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. And I really do believe that the gifts of the Spirit are going to become again, a very focal, very important part of it all. I think you can check me if you want to. There has been a decline of interest in the Holy Spirit. We have some very dear friends who are part of the hierarchy of the Assemblies of God in Mexico. And one day we were in the airport in Mexico City and just talking about the baptism and the Holy Spirit. And her name's Donna. I said, donna, have you done any studies in the AG in Mexico that would say how many of their people, what percentage are baptized in the Holy Spirit? She said, yeah. She says, I think it's 34% that are baptized in the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues. Wow. You know, that's a Pentecostal denomination. So I said, well, what about the United States? She says, well, if I'm not mistaken, the 17% Assemblies of God, the flagship of the Pentecostal world. And you just think about it and you think, well, what's happened is the emphasis on the Holy Spirit, that really was the foundation, the fountain of Pentecostalism and the Charismatics and all of that. It's like this is the main point and it's diminishing. It's becoming a moot point. And what happens is if the Holy Spirit goes, the gifts aren't going to be here because they are the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He's the one who, who imparts these things. He's the one who deposits these things. And obviously this is with his power and so many things, but these are tools. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but they're, they're spiritual. You know, they're. They're the gifts of the Spirit and other things. So I think, well, Lord, if you're going to do prophecy, do the Holy Spirit baptism in the Holy Spirit pour out not just prophecy, but all of the gifts of the Spirit, because there are gifts of healing, there are gifts of this and there gifts of that. And every one of them is a revelation of the glory of God as God comes and manifests himself through these things. I'm going to finish with this and then we'll pray. Is that right? About a year and a half ago, we went to Spain, Pat and I, with a couple some friends of ours, dearly beloved, and we went to do basically revival meetings, whatever you want to call it, in Madrid at Betel. Harry, you've been to Betel with Elliot. And we went there to do these revival meetings. And when we got there, Elliot, who's the director of Battell, Elliot Tepper. Elliot told us a story about a Venezuelan woman whose name was Honey. And he says this woman here, she's from Venezuela, kind of pointing around and he says she was a federal judge in Venezuela, but she gave a decision that the government didn't like, so she had to flee the country and she fled the country with her nine year old daughter and she made it to Spain. She has no relatives, no nothing in Spain, but she got here pretty much fleeing for her life with her nine year old daughter. And when she got here, she couldn't get any work, legal work, as a lawyer or a judge or any such thing, because the courses that are taught in Venezuela are different than what's taught in, in Spain. So there's a, there's a desavanencia, there's a problem, things are not right. So anyway, he says she got here and she got a job in a supermarket at the cashier. And so she's working as the cashier in the supermarket. And one day, one day, one day somebody's in there and they talk to her and they invite her to a home meeting in Madrid. So she goes to the home meeting, she gets saved. And so now she's saved and she's in Madrid, but she's still cash registered. And then after that she got breast cancer. No relatives, no real friends other than the church, far away from home. Now she has breast cancer in a foreign country. And so they started, they took her to the, to the medical system there and they started working on her and doing this and that and every other thing. But Elliot says, he said, man, I really wish you guys would pray for her. We'll pray for her, we'll pray for her. So one night in the meetings we were there and it's like now is the time. And so we converged on her. I mean, there's a couple hundred people there, but we, we converged on her, Pat and I and our friends Kevin and Susan and Elliot. And so we said we're going to pray and we laid hands on her and you know, what happened? God touched her. And it's a very strange thing. God came and he touched her. And she said that immediately. She says, she, well, this is kind of putting the story together, but God touched her. And what happened was after that she went back to the clinic where she'd been going. She went five months in a row taking tests every month and they all came out clean. Nothing. She sent me copies of the, of the documents. So she's, you know, healed. But I was there like last November in Spain and I went to Patel and I saw her and we talked just a little bit and she talked about the night that she was healed. And she says, you know, when you guys prayed for me, she says, I heard you say you're healed. And I said, who said that? She said, you said that. And I said, I didn't say that because my policy, I, I don't, I don't know these people. I'm not going to tell them they're healed. I'm not, I don't really know. Hopefully they are. But I didn't say that to her. And I thought, well, I don't know, maybe Kevin, my friend, told her. So I called Kevin, I said, kevin, did you tell her that? And he says, no, I don't tell, I don't say things like that to people because you don't know until they go to the doctor or something dramatic happens. So why fill them up with hope and then it doesn't happen? But if it does happen, it happens something. And she heard a male voice that told her she was healed. But it was neither me, it was neither Kevin, nor was it Elliot Tepper. There's somebody in heaven who has a male voice and his name is Jesus and he's the one that talks and he's the one that heals. And that night her nine year old daughter all of a sudden started sweating in the meeting, started saying, mommy, I'm really hot, I gotta take my sweater off. And she's sweating and she's just hot. And takes the sweater off and just, just like this. And you know what happened? She got filled with the Holy Spirit. The fire of the Holy Spirit came down on her. And literally she sensed his presence and his power. But all of these things are related to the Holy Spirit. My. Am I making myself clear in what I'm saying? These things happen by the Holy Spirit. And so that Phil would be here and say, let's, let's go back to prophecy. I say, amen, let's go back to the baptism and Holy Spirit, Amen. So I think instead of fleeing from the Holy Spirit, I think we should turn it around and start running towards him. I remember the days when all the Baptists wanted to become Pentecostal, and now it seems like all the Pentecostals want to be Baptists, and that's not working. So I think it's time to turn around and reclaim our heritage and say, wait a minute, this is it. And this is what built Pentecost. This is what raised up so many different things. This message, this power. Excuse me. I know you're a Baptist, but so was John. John was a Baptist, though. Look what he did, you know, so. But in the end, I think, wow. So if we're here, I'm going to. I'm going to quit because I don't know what time it is, and I'm prone to preach over time. Is there more? Is there more? Does. Has God given us everything he wants to give us in these days, or is there more? And I'm going to give place to Phil in a minute because he sings so beautifully. But I would really like to pray tonight and say, lord, stir up the fire of the gift of God within us. Help us to move prophetically, to hear prophetically, to fight according to the prophetic word. But, you know, there's a couple of other things there. Why just be happy with a chicken leg when you can have a thigh, too? You follow what I'm saying? You can go a little bit further because I don't think that God really is saying, well, I'm only going to give you one thigh and that's it. I don't think so. I think he wants to shake the whole bag out over you. He wants you to have all that you can take. So I think there's more that could be had. So, Phil, I'm going to pray real quick, and then I'm going to give this place to you. You can take it home with you if you'd like. Let's pray. Lord, we love you. We love your purposes. We live for you. And I pray, Lord, that tonight maybe some barriers could be broken. Maybe we could go in and take more of the promised land. Maybe more of the promised land could come into us and take us. But God, I. I just pray for an open heaven tonight. And I'm not saying it wasn't open today, and I'm not saying it wasn't open last night, but I do think we can go from glory to glory.
