What does it really mean to be a worshiper?

In this episode of The Well, John Heisman takes us deeper into the heart of worship, exploring the connection between worship, prophecy, the Word of God, and the presence of the Holy Spirit. Drawing from Romans 12, Deuteronomy 33, and the story of John the Baptist, John challenges us to move beyond religious ritual and learn to recognize when the Spirit is “hovering” and revealing what God wants to do next.

Worship isn’t simply about what we sing or what we receive from God. It’s about becoming a people who pour our love and affection back to Him, listen for His voice, and allow His Spirit to lead us. Discover what it means to worship with discernment, to hear the living Word of God, and to wait long enough to see Jesus revealed.

[00:00:05] Speaker A: Today we're going to be hearing from John Heist, who was one of the speakers at our prophetic and worship conferences. We had an incredible time at this conference, both receiving from the Lord and responding in worship. And we know that you are going to enjoy this message from John Hice. [00:00:22] Speaker B: Lord, we just thank you because of your presence and because of your glory. We thank you that we have both. [00:00:32] Speaker C: Amen. And we have beauty. [00:00:42] Speaker B: It's one thing about the presence of God, but God is just a beautiful God. He's just amazing. So I'm going to trade a. Hopefully pull some things together that I feel like I was able to kind of get started last time. And, and you all know that we talk about prophecy and now we're talking about worship, but what are we really talking about? Prophecy. [00:01:08] Speaker C: And you know, I mean, it's, they're both the same. [00:01:10] Speaker B: I, you know, where do you find worship leaders in the scriptures? Just find a prophet, you've got one. And same thing with the priest as well. And that's what God was hitting me with. [00:01:25] Speaker C: So we're going to look at Romans, [00:01:26] Speaker B: chapter 12, verse one, and I'm going to start here and then hopefully I'll [00:01:31] Speaker C: be able to pull some things together that will again shift our attitude and [00:01:40] Speaker B: our way that we see things so [00:01:42] Speaker C: that we can just be more like Him. It never ceased to amaze me after his resurrection that Jesus was talking with [00:01:52] Speaker B: his disciples walking down the road to Emmaus and they didn't recognize him [00:01:57] Speaker C: and yet he was with them and he was asking them questions and they were telling about their experiences and everything like that. But they did say at the end, didn't our hearts, something was going on here. That's your breastplate. That's right here. Your heart is your breastplate. That enables you to do anything God [00:02:28] Speaker B: wants you to do. [00:02:29] Speaker C: Amen. So they finally saw him when he broke bread with them. [00:02:36] Speaker B: Then they recognized him and then of course he disappeared [00:02:41] Speaker C: like, lord, why'd you do that? But we're looking at Romans 12, verse 1, and I'm going to appeal to you. [00:02:50] Speaker B: I'm going to be the Apostle Paul here. I'm appealing to you, my family, [00:02:57] Speaker A: by [00:02:58] Speaker B: the mercies of God to present your [00:03:02] Speaker C: bodies [00:03:04] Speaker B: as a living sacrifice, [00:03:10] Speaker C: Holy and [00:03:12] Speaker B: acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. [00:03:22] Speaker C: So we're going to talk about what [00:03:24] Speaker B: spiritual worship is in relation to what [00:03:29] Speaker C: hopefully what the Apostle Paul was saying [00:03:31] Speaker B: and feeling and going through at that time. [00:03:34] Speaker C: But spiritual worship, he just didn't say which is your acceptable worship, which is your good worship or Your excellent worship, [00:03:44] Speaker B: he said, which is your spiritual worship. [00:03:48] Speaker C: And I know he's saying that for a reason because he doesn't say it anywhere else. So he's trying to make a point. So I'm going to review a little [00:03:58] Speaker B: bit [00:04:01] Speaker C: of what we talked about last [00:04:03] Speaker B: time and then hopefully this will all come together. [00:04:07] Speaker C: Now, last time I shared first Peter, chapter four. And we start, you know, I started with that section there in verse 10:11, where it says that each one has received a gift, use it to serve. So what kind of gift are we getting, by the way? It's a spiritual gift, isn't it? Not just a talent. Each one of you has received a spiritual gift, okay? Serve one another with it. Use it well as good stewards of God's buried grace. [00:04:53] Speaker B: Multifaceted grace. [00:04:55] Speaker C: And that varied grace is like describing the jewels with the different. Like I said, my ring, it's got all these facets on it. You look at it and it shines all kinds of colors. And just by turning it, you see a different look. It's a multifaceted grace. It's anything but a cookie cutter, you know, situation. Thank you, Bob Sorge, for making that so clear. [00:05:23] Speaker B: Right. I'm calling a cookie cutter. But you called it much better, because I like cookies, I guess. [00:05:34] Speaker C: All right, whoever speaks, [00:05:42] Speaker B: speak as the oracles of God. [00:05:48] Speaker C: And I could say, whoever sings, sing [00:05:52] Speaker B: as the oracle of God. [00:05:54] Speaker C: And that's what grabbed my attention. [00:05:56] Speaker B: That's a high standard, isn't it? [00:05:59] Speaker C: That means when I speak, when other people seek speak, you're speaking the words of God himself. You're not just putting out your own stuff. And it immediately reminds me of how I got saved in the basement of a house. This guy got up there. His name was Kurt Johansson. He was Swedish. Swedish. If anybody's Swedish here, please don't get mad at me. But being a New York boy, I heard this guy talk with the sing songy voice and he was preaching and he was a missionary to Africa. And he said, he preached from John [00:06:43] Speaker B: 3:16, you must be born again. And I'm sitting in the back of this place laughing. Just this guy is amazing. [00:06:52] Speaker C: I've never heard the word preached like that before. [00:06:54] Speaker B: You must be born again. [00:07:03] Speaker C: But then I heard jesus, And I'm not going to do his voice because it's like his voice disappeared. And I heard him say this. [00:07:20] Speaker B: There's some people here, and you've been seeking God, you've been seeking me, says the Lord, but now I'm coming for you. That was Jesus. I knew it was Jesus. And God chose a missionary with a funny accent. And his voice changed. In my heart. I knew that was Jesus talking to me. And that's when I was born again. And I just started grinning because the joy of the Lord just came to me. It was really interesting. There's another pastor in Long island area. He got saved the same night. I didn't find that out tonight. I said, I wonder who that other guy was. And I found, you know, it's pastoring, right? So I was born again because a man of God spoke the oracles of God. Because there was nothing in his voice that was going to get me saved. God chose to use him. Isn't that awesome? God is so awesome. Speak the oracles of God Now I [00:08:50] Speaker C: want to give you those words that [00:08:51] Speaker B: I was telling you about. I got the. I got the definitions written down better so that I just want you to see. I want to give you the word Logos rhema and then logion. And logion is the word for oracles. But I'm going to go over the definition. I'm using a dictionary called Mounts's Complete Expository dictionary of the Old and New Testament words. Okay, so it's. It's a good. I love the. Love this guy's dictionary. [00:09:20] Speaker C: So I'm no longer strong. [00:09:22] Speaker B: Sorry guys. Not strong anymore. I'm just mouncing it. Okay, here we go. This is just a part of his definition of Logos. It is not surprising to find that the New Testament uses Logos to mean Jesus himself. Right? Not surprising. [00:09:44] Speaker C: The Synoptic Gospels identify Jesus's preaching as the proclamation of the Logos of God. Reminiscent of the Old Testament use Listen now of the prophetic word, the word of the kingdom. For example, in Matthew 13:14, verse 19, the word of God, Luke 5:1. But in John 1:1, the Logos is not only from God, but is God. According to John, this Logos was the beginning. In the beginning was with God and was God himself as the Logos. God Himself. John 1:1 and 2, in his divine glory assumes the flesh of humanity. And what did I hear from that Swedish missionary? I heard a Logos too, right? Because it was Jesus himself talking to me. It wasn't him. In historical times, in space, Jesus. The Logos signifies the presence of God in flesh. No religious or philosophical parallel to Jesus as Logos is been found anywhere. It's not there. It's only in Jesus that a person, God, Logos. That's powerful. Jesus is the fullness of God. The Logos from God is his own Son. [00:11:33] Speaker B: John 3:16. That's the scripture. I Got saved on and I knew John 3:16. I'd heard it many, many times. [00:11:43] Speaker C: I could say it from heart. [00:11:46] Speaker B: But when Jesus said, it is different. Same scripture. [00:11:55] Speaker C: Now let's do rhema. [00:11:57] Speaker B: Rhema mounts. [00:11:59] Speaker C: Rhema means a word or a matter in at least two distinct uses in the New Testament. First use, it may refer to something that is said, a word, saying, expression or statement of any kind. Although rhema overlaps semantically with logos even in the Septuagint, and if you want to look at it, Exodus 24:27, 2 Samuel 14:20, the terms in the New Testament can have distinct nuances depending on context. [00:12:30] Speaker B: We love context, right? [00:12:32] Speaker C: If you love the word, you love context, okay? Whereas logos often designates the Christian proclamation as a whole, rhema usually relates to individual words and utterances. [00:12:48] Speaker B: I got a rhema from Jesus, the logos, okay? [00:12:54] Speaker C: Man does not live on bread only, but upon every word that proceeds comes from the mouth of God. [00:13:03] Speaker B: That's a rhema. [00:13:05] Speaker C: Rhema can also refer to an event number two that can be talked about an event. That's a rhema. A thing, an object, a matter. [00:13:15] Speaker B: Excuse me. [00:13:16] Speaker C: The use of rhema follows a Hebrew way of speaking through the hill country. In Luke 1:65, throughout the Hill country of Judea, people were talking about these [00:13:27] Speaker B: things, these rhemas, these matters specifically. [00:13:34] Speaker C: So that's the second word. Now let's look at logion. [00:13:39] Speaker B: L, O, G, I, O, N. It's [00:13:47] Speaker C: based on the Hebrew word naom, using of an utterance word or revelation. It is often translated as oracle and especially in the NIV parable in the King James Declaration. And word. All right, Logion four times. In the New Testament, only plural in the plural. It's an important term picked up from the Septuagint, where it refers to teachings, oracles or sayings the Lord and usually spoken by a prophet. So prophets usually speak oracles. All right? Thus, in the New Testament, it refers two times to the Old Testament revelation of God as the very words of God. Romans 3:2 and Acts 7:38. I already read you Romans 3:2 before when I showed you the shift between nomos, nomos, nomos, law, law, law, logion. Okay, that was like 22 times. It was crazy amount of times. He shifts all of a sudden to logion. He says to the Jews have been given the logion. They've got the word of God. They've got it. So he wanted to get their attention to this, right? So Acts 7:37 is the second one. Thus, this is the Moses who's Preaching, right, Stephen, this is the Moses who said to the Israelites, God will raise up for you a prophet like me. He's quoting from Deuteronomy, from your brothers. This is the one who is in the congregation in the wilderness. All right, this is the Moses, right? He was there with an angel who spoke to him at Mount Sinai. And with our fathers, he, Moses, received the living oracles to give to us. Moses received living oracles. So that's a kind of a cool aspect. It's a word that brings life. It's a word that brings life. Hey, I got a logion. I got an oracle. Why? It brought life to me. I was. I was dead. I was a dead man walking, right? But I was a churchgoer. But I became alive when the logion came. It was the word of God. It was. It was right to me. All right, here's another scripture. Hebrews, chapter 5, verse 12. We haven't. And a lot of you know this scripture, okay? It's the one I use all the time. First principles for. Though by this time you ought to be teachers. You need someone to teach you again. The basic first principles of the oracles of God. Of the oracles of God. The first principle. What are the foundational teaching of God's Words, Spoken words. You need milk. Not solid food. For everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he's a child. But solid foods for the mature, for those who have had their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil. Notice that the first principles of the oracles will give you the ability to [00:17:10] Speaker B: discern in a godly, righteous way. You will not be fooled by foolish preaching. [00:17:22] Speaker C: You won't be fooled. Something inside of your oracle, right? We'll go. Nope. Telling you. I mean, I could tell you a story, many stories where that happened. All right. Sometimes God will say it really strong. I was in a meeting one too long ago. And somebody who you will know, but I'm not going to say who was. Was supposed to be speaking there. Well, he wasn't actually supposed to be speaking. He was just there attending. And so was in a French church in central Virginia in Lynchburg area, 2019. And I'm sitting there and we had already had a round table with different people and different leaders from around the area, actually east coast. And. And so I get into the service and. And we. The worship goes on. It's really nice. That's really going good. And then this person gets up and I didn't know what they were getting up to do. They just started talking. And Holy Spirit said to me, sit down. Don't you stand, don't you move. Don't you respond at all. Just. [00:18:36] Speaker B: He's very specific. [00:18:39] Speaker C: Found out later this guy was taking the offering, but it was a particular person that the Lord wanted me to be very clear. Don't you do. Just don't give him any space. Very rarely has that happened with me and a preacher. [00:18:51] Speaker B: Okay, but there was absolutely a no by Holy Spirit. [00:18:59] Speaker C: And it found out later. [00:19:00] Speaker B: Yeah, there was reasons for that. [00:19:03] Speaker C: Okay, But God will do that for you. He'll. He'll speak to you very clearly in. In your spirit, and he'll give you the ability to say, you may be hearing something that may sound okay, but. But it's not because of the vessel that's given it. Something's not right, not lining up. And you need to know that. And I didn't jump up and yell and scream and do all kinds of stuff. I just sat there like this. And anything he tried to get us to do, I just. You see what I'm saying? All I had to know is that I was just going to do what God wanted me to do. I'm sorry. I'm just going to do what God wants me to do. And I'm free to do that. How many of you know you're free not to do something just as well as you're free to do something? And. Okay, there's that story. All right, so your powers of discernment are trained by practice to discern. That's why they called it the Oracle of Judgment. It wasn't like you're judging people, just helping you make a good decision in a situation when something looks right and it's not. And I needed that. I needed God to give me that discernment of that situation. And then there's. That's one, two. And then the one I gave you in first Peter 4:11, you've got all four of them, though. So, you know. Do you have a better idea? Wave your hand at me. You have a better idea. Now, what an oracle is compared to a rhema and compared to what a logos is, it's. It's. But it's specific in that respect. Now, I'm going to talk to you about Levi's blessing. So now we're going to talk. Now, I love this, and I want to kind of. This is the one that really got me going In Deuteronomy, chapter 33, verse 8. Deuteronomy, chapter 33, Verse 8. And we're going to hit those two verses and we're going to talk about the blessing that had is the final blessing of Moses over the tribe of Levite. All right, so this is the. This is the power that God has and the blessing that God has. Because we are a spiritual priesthood as Christians, Jesus brought us into it, right? The book of Hebrews is. Was all about Jesus. After the new order of Melchizedek, he was the great high priest. And we are all in Christ, walking in that character and anointing. So here's Deuteronomy 33. So don't think this is for somebody else, just somebody else. No, it's you and somebody else. It's for us. You believe in Jesus. All right? Moses is blessing on Levi. Give to Levi your thumb, your truth discernment and your Urim. Urim is clarity, the manifestation of light to your Hasid. I'm going to use the Hebrew for [00:22:08] Speaker B: it because you all know what a Hasidim is, right? A holy one. [00:22:14] Speaker C: Here it is. Give to Levi your thammim and your Urim, right? Your. To your holy one. Now, my ESV says godly one, but I'm using the word holy one because I think that's accurate. And one of the things that just bugs me about Bible translators, they'll take the same word and they're just indiscriminately use a different English word for that word. And so you don't see connections. This is the first time the word [00:22:45] Speaker B: holy one is put in the scripture right here in this blessing. [00:22:50] Speaker C: He was called a holy one. And how many of you know in the New Testament are we called holy ones? He wrote, Paul wrote letters to the saints. That's the word holy one. Same exact word. We are the saints of God. We are the holy. That's why I like the word holy one. Let's use holy one all the way through. When Jesus comes, he's going to come with his holy ones, right? The ones that are still on the earth are going to be right, caught up in the air. The other ones are going to be resurrected and come down with Jesus. And we're all. But it says holy ones. We are holy ones because of Jesus. And it says that God will give to Levi of the tribe of Levi, obviously his holy one. Okay? The ability to see clearly and to [00:23:47] Speaker B: come to a good decision or judgment. [00:23:55] Speaker C: Okay, here's a definition of holy one from mounts. Ready. The proper sphere of the holy in [00:24:08] Speaker B: the New Testament is not priestly. [00:24:15] Speaker C: You're like going, what? What What? Not priestly, not ritual, [00:24:25] Speaker B: but the prophetic. [00:24:30] Speaker C: Say that again. Because I have been programmed in the Protestant movement that we've been taught. Oh, yeah, if you're holy, that's because you gotta not eat this thing. Right? Come on, now. And you gotta put little blood over there, and that blood's gonna make it holy. Right? No, that's not. It's not ritual. It's not doing this thing. You see what I'm saying? It's not ritual. It's not just a routine. It's not priestly, like, just for certain people. Come on. You know, I wear a hat. I joke. I joke with my friend. I joke with my friend Dave. He's down in Charlotte. Okay? Because, you know, sometimes it used to be if you were called a pastor, that's pretty good. But. But then over the years, you cease being a pastor, and then all of a sudden you got all these bishops running around. And, you know, bishops wear different hats, you know, different clothing. You know, I'm saying they have different outfits. Hey, it's in Pentecostal churches. Come on, don't get. Don't kid me on this. You've been around a little bit, you know, and so I said, you know what, Dave? I think we. I. I'm sorry. We're going to be cardinals, so we'll walk around wearing red hats. So we wear red baseball caps for cardinal. I'm not a Cardinal fan, but I thought, Come on. I don't. These bishop dudes. I'll just be a cardinal because I like cardinals. [00:25:59] Speaker B: They're cool birds. It's the state bird of Virginia. [00:26:04] Speaker C: You see the ritual. Can God open our eyes to the ritualistic that we think for holiness? What you eat? Some things you say the way you do things? Just saying open our eyes, Lord. We want to see Jesus. This is a dictionary that says that the manifestation of holiness is prophetic. It's the prophetic. It is the presence of the Word, the living Word of God that makes us holy. It is the presence of the living word of God that makes us holy. It is not primarily an ethical expression. It is parallel to being called Romans 1, verse 7, chosen, Romans 8, 33 and faithful Colossians 1:2, called chosen, faithful, holy. Holy. Not what you wear, not what you eat, not the things, whatever patterns, whatever. It is prophetic. It is the Holy Spirit. It is the living word that. That creates holiness. My heart became holy when I got the living word of God in me. The living word. Amen. Listen. This Christ is the one. It implies association with the Holy Spirit. You get Holy Spirit. You're not just any old spirit. So it's the Spirit of God that makes you holy because he's Holy Spirit. It's who he is. Christ is the one in whom believers become holy to be the true God. The power to do so comes from the risen Christ, who operates according to the Spirit of holiness. Romans 1, verse 4. And he was declared. Jesus was declared to be the Son of God in power by what? According to the Spirit of holiness. That's what makes holy the Spirit of holiness. That's why it's prophetic as we prophesy by what? The Spirit. That's how we prophesy. The Spirit of holiness. Romans 1:4. That is a powerful word right there. Paul just immediately jumps off in Romans with a most powerful statement. Now in. In John, chapter one, verse 29. John the Baptist, John the baptizer. How many of you know Baptist? [00:29:23] Speaker B: I know Baptist. I know many Baptists. Okay, okay. [00:29:27] Speaker C: Well, he was a Baptist. And God sent him, right, to prepare the way of the Lord. What did he do? John, chapter one, verse 29. It says he saw Jesus coming to him. Imagine doing all this, baptizing and never seeing Jesus. But God told him. You find out what he said to him. He said, behold the Lamb of God [00:29:52] Speaker B: who takes away the sin of the world. This is he of whom I said. Here's what he said. After me comes a man that ranks before me because he was before me. [00:30:08] Speaker A: He. [00:30:08] Speaker B: He was the Logos in the beginning. And his only assignment that John had was to make Jesus known to the people of Israel. That was his assignment. [00:30:22] Speaker C: And how did he know? [00:30:26] Speaker B: How did he know who this was? [00:30:29] Speaker C: Here's what he says. [00:30:30] Speaker B: I myself did not know him. [00:30:35] Speaker C: I myself did not know Jesus. [00:30:40] Speaker B: That was my testimony. I went to church, but I didn't know Jesus. Why watch? But for the purpose. I came baptizing with water that he might be revealed to Israel. [00:30:56] Speaker C: I had to find out who this Jesus is. So he just kept baptizing people he knew. [00:31:01] Speaker B: One day, One day. One day, Jesus is coming. One day. He's doing what God's telling him to do. He's washing, washing, washing, watching, preaching. [00:31:12] Speaker C: And then he says he bore witness his testimony. I saw. [00:31:18] Speaker B: How did I recognize Jesus? I saw the Spirit descending from heaven. How do you speak the oracle of God? You see the Spirit coming down [00:31:42] Speaker C: and [00:31:42] Speaker B: identifying who it is. He says, I saw the Spirit descend. And I love this, too. The Spirit came down and it stayed. Wasn't chased away, Bob, like we think sometimes. It stayed and it Remained. That's the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit. [00:32:15] Speaker C: And I have seen and borne witness [00:32:17] Speaker B: that this is the Son of God, this is the Logos, this is the word. This is what I've been waiting for. The principle of seeing the Spirit come down and abide. And that echoes, like I told the team the very first day. It echoes Genesis 1 and 2 where it says, and the spirit hovered over the chaos of waters. See, John uses that language of waters. There's waters, and in the waters, the spirit hovers. And that's when the light comes. And John saw the light when he saw the spirit hover over the waters, that's what happened. That's the image that he wants us to remember, the picture. I'm a very visual type learner, so I like to see pictures, as you probably maybe figured that out now, because I'm sharing this way. Worship leaders, start the service baptizing people in water. I want you to get this picture. Wash him good. [00:33:44] Speaker C: Wash him good. [00:33:45] Speaker B: Now, Phil got the baptisms in raw loader, but that's okay. We'll forgive him for that, right? [00:33:53] Speaker C: As a worship leader, as any leader, I'm the same way. If I'm getting up and speaking, I am going to start off baptizing you in the water of the Word. And somewhere along the line, Holy Spirit's [00:34:10] Speaker B: going to start hovering. And then you're going to start to show me what you're really doing in this service. [00:34:18] Speaker C: See? [00:34:19] Speaker B: Principle. [00:34:21] Speaker C: Start with the water. You can't, you know, it's good. And you may do a two songs and three, you may do a few of them and people are getting really clean. But it's still. It's still, right? And then when the spirit hovers, then God speaks. Let there be light. And the light is the light of discernment. Not just, you know, nighttime and dark. That's okay. I want you to talk. I want you to hear me on this. I want you to think of that creation story. I want you to think of the light being something where you're discerning something. Now you're seeing something the way it's meant to be. You've got the judgment. You're making decision. I know that I have to do this right now. This is what God wants. This is what God wants. I wish I could say that when I led worship all these years, that I did everything that God wanted. Anybody here is like that. Please stand up. I'd like to see who you are. But there came a time when God said there was a hovering and then I was willing to wait long enough. I was willing to be sensitive to the hovering of the Holy Spirit at the same term. It was the same Hebrew word for an eagle. That flat that flaps its wings over its yellow young. Isaiah 40 used it. They that wait upon the Lord, [00:36:00] Speaker B: they shall mount up. [00:36:01] Speaker C: Like the eagle hovers over its young, so the Lord hovers over his people. Isaiah knew that term. He felt that term. He saw that term. Do not just baptize people in water. [00:36:17] Speaker B: Worship leaders. [00:36:23] Speaker C: Don't just do that. Psalms, hymns. You see the connection? I didn't know what he was talking about this morning. Do you see that the water is your hymning. Just keep washing them. Psalm ing scriptures. Just wash them with the water of the. And then. Come on. And then the Spirit is going to show you Jesus. Speak that over this. Highest call team. Be good Baptists, okay? But don't stay a Baptist. [00:37:07] Speaker B: Be a Pentecostal too. [00:37:16] Speaker C: I believe that God will be faithful [00:37:21] Speaker B: to always cause his spirit to identify what's next. [00:37:30] Speaker C: He'll always do that, guys. [00:37:32] Speaker B: He will always do that for you. [00:37:34] Speaker C: Trust him. I remember. I don't know how many baptisms John [00:37:39] Speaker B: did before Jesus showed up. And we don't know either. [00:37:44] Speaker C: But I bet it wasn't his second baptism, was it? All he did was to do what [00:37:50] Speaker B: God told him until he told him God told him to do differently. Just keep doing it, John. Keep doing it. When's he going to come? Keep doing it, John. The dove will come. [00:38:13] Speaker C: And this holiness, [00:38:17] Speaker B: this holiness is what God has for us. [00:38:29] Speaker C: Holy Spirit, we thank you that the [00:38:35] Speaker B: unfolding of your word gives us light. And it imparts understanding to the simple. Father, we thank you for the simplicity of worship that is willing to wait upon the Lord as the Spirit hovers so that we can see Jesus in the waters. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Jesus. Jesus. Thank you, Lord. We just thank you, Lord. Thank you, Jesus. We just give you praise, Lord. Hallelujah. Lord. We thank you that your love is everlasting and your mercies endure forever. We thank you that your truth endures from generation to generation. We declare that in this place, from generation to generation, [00:40:22] Speaker C: your truth endureth forever. [00:40:29] Speaker B: Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. [00:40:37] Speaker C: Your love envelops us [00:40:43] Speaker B: in grace and mercy. We thank you for the living word of God. Yes, Lord. We thank you that holiness is prophetic. We thank you that holiness is not ritual. We thank you, Lord God, because I'd be messing up the rituals all the time, Lord. I thank you, Lord, that holiness is not rules. I thank you. That holiness is the spirit that blows where it wills. And you hear the sound, but you just don't know. Father God, we thank you for this house. We thank you for this people. They worship with their windows open because the winds are coming. And the dove is descending. Praise God. Praise the Lord. Amen. Thank you for just being so encouraging. Open. Because this is the first time I've really shared this burden about God's people being like the great high priest. We're all priests and high priests and just this thing, just this just got a hold of me really bad because being a guy, I was just so into the breastplate being our powerful defense and warfare and swords and stuff like that, when it's really referring to the breastplate as the depository of the brilliance of God, man.
